Introducing... Bloom Remedies

Earlier this year, I finally purchased some products from Bloom Remedies! All products are handmade in Cornwall, being organic and eco-friendly. I was really impressed with the packaging and you can tell a lot of thought and effort goes into this.
Bloom Remedies Lavender & Lemon Hand Cream, £9/100ml

This hand cream is housed in a practical pump bottle and lasts longer than expected. The fragrance is the perfect blend of relaxing lavender and zingy lemon! The silky, smooth formula absorbs easily and quickly upon contact with skin, leaving hands softer and moisturised, with no irritation.

Aqua, sunflower seed oil*, shea butter*, glycerin*, meadowfoam oil*, wheatgerm oil*, glyceryl stearate, cetyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, benzyl alcohol, lemon essential oil*, vitamin E, beeswax*, potassium sorbate, lavender essential oil*, cetearyl glucoside, xanthum gum, rosemary flower extract*, thymus essential oil*, rosemary essential oil*, citric acid.
*organic ingredient

Bloom Remedies Serenity Slumber Bath Melts, £10/100g

These bath melts are a great concept and would make a particularly excellent gift - just look at that pretty packaging! After placing a couple under running water in the bath, they soon begin to melt, releasing nourishing oils into the water. The scent is so relaxing and really does make you feel sleepy! After a good soak, these will leave your skin wonderfully hydrated and super soft!

Shea butter*, cocoa butter*, coconut oil*, Cornish sea salt*, Dead Sea salt*, sweet orange essential oil*, ylang ylang flower essential oil*, geranium essential oil*, lavender essential oil*, cedarwood essential oil*, patchouli essential oil*.
*organic ingredient
(Also contains limonene, citral, geraniol, linalool, eugenol, citronellol, benzyl alcohol/benzoate/salicylate - natural components of essential oils.)

Food & Drink - This Month I've Been Trying...

Nairn's Gluten Free Super Seeded Wholegrain Crackers*, £1.60/114g
It's great to have a gluten-free option from Nairn's and these seeded crackers are delicious! I really enjoyed mine with sweet chilli Philadelphia spread, but they'd also be great topped with fresh veg or as a substitute for bread with soups.
Gluten Free Wholegrain Oats (79%), Seeds (12%) (Brown Flaxseed, Millet, Chia), Sustainable Palm Fruit Oil, Maize Starch, Sea Salt, Raising Agent: Ammonium Bicarbonate, Honey.
Belvoir Blueberry & Blackcurrant Cordial, £3.15/500ml and Belvoir Elderflower & Rose Cordial, £3.15/500ml
The elderflower & rose cordial is just beautiful! I'd previously tried the presse version of this and it's probably my current favourite soft drink! The blueberry & blackcurrant variety is okay, but it doesn't have the same punch as the elderflower one.
Elderflower & Rose Ingredients:
Water, Sugar, Fresh Elderflowers 5%, Fresh Lemon Juice, Citric Acid, Elderberry Juice (from Concentrate), Rose Extract.
Blueberry & Blackberry Ingredients:
Sugar, Water, Blueberry Juice (not from Concentrate) 11%, Blackcurrant Juice (not from Concentrate) 9%, Blueberry Juice (from Concentrate) 7%, Citric Acid.
Quorn Mini Breaded Fillets, £1.90/300g
These chicken-style mini breaded fillets are so close to the real thing, I had to double check they were meat-free! These are great in wraps with salad or on their own with dip. I really liked these!
Mycoprotein (53%) , Wheat & Wholewheat Flours (contain Added Calcium, Iron, Niacin & Thiamine) , Vegetable Oils (Sunflower, Rapeseed) , Water , Rehydrated Free Range Egg White , Wheatgerm , Wheat Starch , Wheat Gluten , Milk Proteins , Natural Flavouring , Salt , Rice Flour , Yeast , Firming Agents: Calcium Chloride, Calcium Acetate , Gelling Agent: Pectin.
JimJams Milk Chocolate Spread*, £2.59/350g and JimJams Hazelnut Chocolate Spread*, £2.59/350g
Meet classic Nutella's new, healthier opponent! These chocolate spreads from JimJams were created by Kevin Bath, who wanted to create similarly delicious chocolate spreads, but with less sugar - Nutella containing 57 cubes of it! These spreads have won awards and are now available to purchase from Tesco! They contain less than 83% sugar than their rivals and they taste amazing!
You'd honestly be hard-pushed to taste the difference between a jar of Nutella and a jar of JimJams' hazelnut chocolate spread. This is a great option for kids and adults alike who enjoy chocolately goodness, but are conscious about what they are putting in their bodies. These are also diabetic-friendly.
Milk Chocolate ingredients:
Maltitol, Vegetable Oil (Rapeseed Palm), Skimmed Milk Powder 11%, Fat Reduced Cocoa, Whey Powder (Milk), Emulsifier (Sunflower Lecithin), Flavouring.
Hazelnut ingredients:
Maltitol, Vegetable Oil (Rapeseed Palm), Hazelnuts 13%, Fat Reduced Cocoa, Skimmed Milk Powder, Whey Powder (Milk), Emulsifier (Sunflower Lecithin), Flavouring.

My Scotland Holiday In Pictures

It's been just over two weeks since I got back from my holiday in Scotland with my family. Things have been rather hectic since, so I'm just getting round to sharing the holiday highlights with you now! The location is near North Berwick in East Lothian.
I captured some truly stunning sunsets!

We spent the day at East Links Family Park where the kids enjoyed playing and feeding all the cute farm animals.
We took a rather muddy riverside walk to Hailes Castle.
We had a bonfire and toasted marshmallows on the beach!
Anna was as cute as ever!
My Mum and I took a boat trip to The Bass Rock and treated ourselves to a whippy ice-cream afterwards!
My Mum, Kathryn, Anna and I went out for lunch at the East Linton Nurseries & Tearoom. We over-indulged, but it was so good! We walked off a few calories afterwards.
My Mum and I took the train to Edinburgh and went on an Auld Reekie tour, including Greyfriars Cemetery and the underground vaults. Both were really interesting! It was quite creepy in the vaults, especially when my camera stopped working in certain areas! We'd love to check out another tour next time.
My Mum and I climbed the Berwick Law, taking a rather scenic route up and a rather steep trek down! Unfortunately it turned out to be really, really hot - not great for climbing.

So, I had a great time with my family and being by the seaside everyday was really good for my soul!
