Our Scotland Holiday In Pictures

Dean and I have just come back from spending two weeks with my family in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. As you may have noticed, I took a break from blogging while we were there. Today I'm going to share with you what we got up to!
We met my newest niece, Anna; she's just adorable and a very well-behaved baby! I did a couple of photoshoots with her.
We also met my other sister's new golden Labrador, Cooper, who is very cute and excitable! I took photos of all the family dogs while we were there.

We went for lots of lovely walks and even got a few days with snow!
We celebrated my niece, Imogen's 2nd birthday at her party.
We visited Duthie Park and the Winter Gardens in Aberdeen. The huge flowers were so pretty!
Me and my Mum visited Deer Abbey, which is just half a mile from their home. It is the remains of a Cistercian monastery, founded in 1219.
We went to The Den In The Glen (formally Storybook Glen) as a birthday treat for Imogen. We used to love it when we were children, but it now seems quite forgotten and a little neglected. We did enjoy a lovely lunch in the cafe and Imogen loved the soft play area! We made friends with this cute Highland cow, too.
Me and Mum met up with my sister and her fiance and we went for a lovely meal at Bella Italia; I had the cannelloni ricotta for my main and the delicious cioccolato diavola for dessert, followed by a coffee.

We had a really great two weeks with my family and I feel like we really made the most of our time together, despite the kids being at school most of the time and my parents working most days. We enjoyed several take-aways and an early celebration of Mother's Day with a lovely afternoon tea!
Unfortunately Dean is unable to get time off for the family summer holiday, which we have missed out on for a few years, so I am being brave and will be travelling solo to spend twelve days with my family near North Berwick, Scotland in July.

What have you guys been up to lately?

  2. Aww seems like you had such an awesome family holiday, it’s so scenic from the photos! Your photos just get better and better, I really admire a few of the flower close ups and you have an eye for portraiture too. It’s nice to get back in touch with you, I’ve had quite a busy week or two also! :-) xx
