Neal's Yard Remedies Purifying Palmarosa Facial Polish

Neal's Yard Remedies Purifying Palmarosa Facial Polish, £16/100g

I bought this facial polish in the Boxing Day sales last year and have been using it 1-2 times per week ever since. This product is aimed at oily and congested skin, which sounded perfect for me, as my skin is fairly blemish-prone. The formula is a gritty paste and only a small amount is needed per application. With wild rosehip seed, palmarosa, mahonia and alpine willowherb, this has an earthy, lightly floral scent. The tube packaging is really user-friendly and I love the classic, clean NYR look.

Applied to damp skin and massaged in with a circular, upwards motion, this facial polish feels refreshing and pleasant to use. My skin feels cleaner and softer after use and it feels like such a treat for my skin. I'm not sure about preventing blemishes, as there are so many other factors to take into consideration (such as diet and hormones!), but this facial polish definitely gets rid of the build-up of grime and excess oil. It's a great winter skincare product, brightening up dull, weather-beaten skin.

  1. I am currently using this facial polish from NYR and it's definitely one of my favourite exfoliators I ever tried. It leaves my skin so nice afterwards. I would definitely repurchase (once they have an offer on of course! I also got mine in sales when it was 30% off).

  2. This sounds like a lovely exfoliator - NYR seem to be such a good, reliable brand for products that just work. At the moment, I'm using Green People's Fruit Scrub, which I really like, but, to be honest, I'm really bad at remembering to exfoliate. xx
