My Week In Pictures

Monday:
Monday consisted of doing as little as possible, as I'd driven over 600 miles on Sunday, arriving home after 10pm. I was feeling a little empty and emotional in the morning, without my family around me. I had lots of laundry to get through and we went food shopping at Lidl and Asda in the afternoon. Thoughts of changes in job circumstances and wishing to re-locate to greener pastures (literally, i.e. a small, quiet village) filled my head. I had an evening detox bath and felt more refreshed and relaxed. We enjoyed Asda's fresh create-your-own pizzas for dinner and caught up on some TV programmes.

Tuesday:
I was expecting the boiler man in the morning to carry out some minor repairs, but he was a no-show. Dean was back to work, so I decided to re-organise the under-sink cleaning cupboard and catch up on some of my TV programmes. I had my new fave sandwich for lunch - cheese and coleslaw! We watched Open Water and had potato bake for dinner.

Wednesday:
Wednesday was a wet and windy day. I had more laundry to do and I started on some housework. I warmed myself up with a vegetable soup for lunch, while watching TV. Dean and some friends went to the cinema late afternoon to watch The Other Side of the Door - it wasn't much good, so I'm glad I didn't go! I had pesto pasta for dinner, with coleslaw and rocket on the side.

Thursday:
Thursday was brighter, although still a little chilly in the afternoon. I got all my housework/cleaning done and ran some errands in town in the morning. I received a very exciting delivery from HarperCollins Publishers, which is under wraps till next month! My friend, Tracy, came over in the afternoon for coffee and a catch-up. I spent some time looking up D.I.Y. recipes for household cleaners such as dishwasher and laundry detergent, looking to reduce our cost of living. I caught up on some blog-reading, too. I made a fresh vegetable pesto pasta dish for dinner, served with garlic bread. We watched TV in the evening.

Friday:
I enjoyed adding cacoa nibs to my granola on Friday. I washed my car in the morning, did more laundry and got almost all of the ironing done, while watching episodes of Eastenders, Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners and Stella. I had a very exciting and generous delivery from Australian brand, MooGoo and I can't wait to tell you more about their products! I spent the late afternoon watching Pretty Little Liars in bed, with my phone and new hand cream close by! We enjoyed fajitas for dinner and watched episodes of Gotham and Bates Motel.

What did you get up to this week?

  1. Awesome post, it’s always lovely to hear how you’re weeks been. That cheese and coleslaw sandwich combination sounds good, might have to try that one! :-) Your exciting delivery sounds very intriguing, look forward to hearing more next month. I’ve heard such good things about Pretty Little Liars but haven’t thought to watch it before. I’m coming to the end of my Dawson’s Creek Box set so might consider PLL. Best wishes for the rest of the week! :-) xx
