Introducing... MooGoo Skincare

Over the past few weeks, I've been testing out a few skincare products from Australian brand, MooGoo. What started out as an udder cream for cows, soon found its way into human skincare and now there is a huge range of natural products available to us. MooGoo use only natural, gentle ingredients and they have a focus on troubled, problematic skin with conditions such as eczema and dermatitis, so their products are suitable for sensitive-skinned people like myself. They also produce the Dusty Girls make-up range. I'd love to try their natural tanning cream and blemish cleansing moisturiser next!
MooGoo Irritable Skin Balm*, £12.50/120g
This product was the one I was most interested in - I was hoping for a miracle cure for my dermatitis! Despite lots of great reviews, this product wasn't what I'd hoped for. Firstly, the name is a little confusing; this is a cream, not a balm. The formula is very lightweight and instantly sinks into skin - maybe a little too instantly, in my case! It provides instant moisture and relief from irritation, but unfortunately for me, it is very short-lived. I could easily apply this every 30 minutes. I used this for four consecutive days and nights and my hands ended up more dehydrated, sore and cracked than they started off. When I woke up after generously applying before bed, my hands were painfully dry and the skin so tight, if I straightened out my fingers they felt like they would split. Perhaps my dermatitis is was far too advanced to benefit from this product, but other reviewers did find it helpful. I stopped using it on my hands and now use it on any other dry or irritated patches on my body.

Ingredients:
Aqua, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Squalene (Olive), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera), Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Piroctone Olamine, Polysorbate 60 (Food Grade Emulsifier), Allantoin, Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E) Xanthan Gum (Food Grade Thickener), Humulus Lupulus (Hops) Extract.
MooGoo Milk Wash*, £11.90/500ml
This face and body wash is very gentle and despite the slightly off-putting, gloopy consistency, I've really loved using this product. It leaves my face cleansed of make-up and grime, without irritating or stripping my skin. My skin feels much softer and smoother after continued use. The scent is mildly soapy and only a small amount is needed per application. The price is very attractive, as you get a huge 500ml pump dispenser, which will last ages.

Ingredients:
Aqua, Decyl Glucoside (Glucose Based Cleanser), Sodium Lauroamphoacetate (Coconut Derived Cleanser), Behentrimonium Methosulfate (Canola Based Detangler), Lauryl Glucoside (Glucose Based Cleanser), Cetearyl Alcohol (Plant Based Emulsifying Wax), Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Coconut Derived Cleanser), Glyceryl Oleate (Skin Conditioner), Coco-Glucoside (Glucose Based Cleanser), Allantoin, Piroctone Olamine, Hydrolysed Milk Protein, Fragrant Oil (Phthlate Free).
MooGoo Soothing MSM Cream*, £12/75g
This moisturiser has a lovely, sweet almond scent and is light and creamy in texture. A small amount only is needed per application and I've been solely using this as a facial moisturiser. It feels soothing and hydrating on my skin, with no irritation. It helps calm redness, leaves me with super soft skin and has really improved the texture of my skin, leaving it so much smoother! This is a great product for filling in fine lines and creases, plus it creates a great base for make-up application. I'd definitely consider purchasing this for everyday use!

Ingredients:
Aqua, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Squalene (Olive), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol (Plant Based Emulsifying Wax), Dimethyl Sulfone (MSM Organic Sulfur), Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera), Allantoin, Piroctone Olamine, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride (Guar Gum), Polysorbate 60 (Food Grade Emulsifier), Mel (Honey), Acetum (Apple Cider Vinegar), Pyrus Communis (Pear) Extract, Humulus Lupulus (Hops) Extract.
MooGoo Natural Mini Moo Bubbly Wash (sample size)*, £11.90/500ml
I used this little sample in my bath the other day and was impressed with how much bubbles it created. There was no apparent scent and it was a very gentle product, leaving my skin soft with no redness.

Ingredients:
Aqua, Cocomidoproply Betaine (Coconut Derived Cleanser), Decyl Glucoside (Glucose Derived Cleanser), Coco-Glucoside (Glucose Derived Cleanser), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera), Sodium Cocoyl Sarcosinate (Coconut Derived Cleanser), Glyceryl Oleate (Natural Ester), Oryza Sativa (Colloidal Rice) Bran, Glycol Distearate, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride (Guar Gum), Glyceryl Caprylate, Piroctone Olamine, Humulus Lupulus (Hops) Extract.

  1. I haven't tried any of the products you have here, but I love their full cream moisturiser. It's such an effective product & I find it works wonders for my skin. Shame you didn't enjoy the balm :-( I'm sure you'll find your dermatitis cure soon! :-) Fingers crossed for you anyway, I bet it's really annoying for you.

    1. I really love the Soothing MSM Cream - I couldn't believe it smoothed out my forehead creases! Yes, I am so bored of my dermatitis! It's pretty much cleared up now, thankfully! I find pure rosehip oil mixed with a good hand cream does a great job. It's just that it can easily flare up while I'm working, so I'm desperate to find a new job. xxx
