5 Little Pick-Me-Ups For Down Days

1. A feel-good book.
I Am, You Are* is an awesome, pocket-sized book packed full of inspiring and positive words for those moments when you need to remember to love yourself and inject some positivity into your day! It's bright, colourful and has some gorgeous typography.
2. Chocolate.
Chocolate makes everything better, right? Well, it definitely tastes good, anyway! Choose your favourite kind and don't worry about finishing the whole bar!
3. Feel-good music.
Sitting quietly, listening to some upbeat, chill-out tunes is a great way to unwind and relax after a stressful day.
4. Natural scents.
A warming or uplifting scent in the form of perfume, a scented candle or a reed diffuser can be an instant mood-booster.
5. A Romantic Comedy.
The Holiday or Bridget Jones's Diary would definitely be my first choices! You may laugh and you may shed a tear, but watching some fun rom-coms are sure to cheer you up and put a smile on your face!

What are you favourite pick-me-ups?

  1. Fab post Em and top tips. The typography book looks lovely and would make a good gift too. If I’m having a bad day I love to listen to up-tempo music, this always lifts my mood. Rom-coms are a great way to pass the time on a down day also. The Holiday is one of my fav films of all time!! :-) xx

  2. Nice picks. I love a soak in the bath with a fav bath oil and a skinny latte to put the world right again (a glass of wine helps too!)

  3. Rom-coms are a great way to end a down day - I often watch an episode of Pride & Prejudice, while snuggled with a rug and some hot chocolate or mint tea. I find it much harder to be sad when I'm cosy, warm and comfy. x
