My Boxing Day Purchases

I had absolutely no intention of purchasing anything after Christmas, at least not until January. However, when Neal's Yard Remedies announced their sale, I decided to take the opportunity to purchase a few products I'd been lusting over, plus I needed a few essentials, which also saw a small Naturisimo order being placed. My NYR order didn't arrive till this week, which is why this post is a little late.
Neal's Yard Remedies Bee Lovely Hand Wash, £12.50/295ml
My hands are in such an awful state at the moment, and no amount of hand cream or balm seems to be helping them. I hope this honey-infused hand wash will help to soothe and hydrate them.
Neal's Yard Remedies Soothing Bath Oil, RRP £15 £10.50/100ml
A NYR bath oil has been on my wish list forever, so I decided to opt for the soothing one, with a blend of lavender, geranium, bergamot and cypress essentials oils and a base of almond, soya and sunflower oils. I can't wait to use this!
Neal's Yard Remedies Organic Eye Make-Up Remover, £11/100ml
This product was the only item already on my shopping list, which I had planned to buy in-store when I was next in Dorchester. Eye make-up remover seems to last forever, so £11 seemed pretty reasonable. I've not had a chance to try this, but will update you once I have.
Neal's Yard Remedies Purifying Palmarosa Facial Polish, RRP £16 £11.20/100g
My skin hates me at the moment. All that lovely junk food over the festive season doesn't do much for my face! I picked up this facial polish in the hopes of clearing up my blemishes; this claims to refine and de-congest oily and combination skin, gently exfoliating and balancing excess oils. Ingredients include rosehip seed, alpine willowherb, palmarosa and mahonia.
JĀSÖN PowerSmile Antiplaque & Whitening Toothpaste, RRP £4.99 £4.24/170g
This fluoride-free, natural toothpaste is now a staple in my dental hygiene routine. I found it quite challenging when looking for a perfect natural toothpaste, and as always, it's down to personal preference, much like natural deodorants. I find this peppermint toothpaste to be pretty close to a mainstream version and it leaves my teeth deeply cleansed and fresh. I can't say for certain if it has helped whiten my teeth, but I don't have stains and my teeth appear to be an even shade of white.
JĀSÖN SeaFresh Strengthening Sea Spearmint Mouthwash, RRP £5.99 £5.09/480ml
I really enjoyed the peppermint Whitening PowerSmile mouthwash, but this time, decided to go for the spearmint version. In terms of taste, I do favour spearmint over peppermint, so this should be to my liking.
ilā Bath Soak Pure Relaxation (sample size), £2.95/50ml
I was going to purchase the full size version of this product, but the sample sizes are actually better value for money. I was really drawn to the chic, hot pink packaging. I've not tried this yet, but it smells lovely, with vetivert, petitgrain and apricot.

Did you purchase anything in the after-Christmas sales?

  1. Lovely haul, I always get ideas when I see what you have been purchasing! Neal’s Yard Remedies seems like an awesome brand although haven’t tried any of their products as of yet. Look forward to hearing your thoughts on these items especially the face polish. The ilā bath soak looks fab too! I’m trying to use up things I have already but there are a few new items for my wish list! :-) xx

    1. Thank you, Helen! I love NYR; from their gorgeous, blue packaging to their organic ingredients and divine scents. The in-store experience is really wonderful, too. I can't wait to start trying everything and will of course share my thoughts soon. My wish list is always growing, haha. xxx

I absolutely love reading your comments and really appreciate your input! x
