Where To Buy: Unique Christmas Decorations

I absolutely loved getting the Christmas decorations out when I was a child; my Mum has a beautiful collection of ornaments, each having its own presentation box and being of great quality that she still has all of them. That's what I aspire to have. Up until now we've gone for a white tree with silver and blue ornaments and tinsel and blue lights - very modern and understated. Now I want traditional, colour, quality and a sense of uniqueness. We have a green tree this year, but the same decorations, so I am on the hunt for new decorations which will come out to play next year (oh, wouldn't it be even more wonderful if it was also in a lovely house which we owned? Well, one can dream...).

I've slowly started buying pieces, focusing on items with a vintage style and, where possible, being eco-friendly. I thought I would scour the net for the best unique decorations and showcase them for you in this collective post. It's also worth checking out local markets for handmade goods, plus charity shops and eBay for genuine vintage finds! Hopefully this guide will give you some ideas and inspiration for your own home! Let me know which style you prefer where Christmas decorations are concerned.
1. Sumba Set Of 3 Copper Stars, £12.95-£16.95
These pretty mirrored, recycled glass stars encased in antiqued copper are high on my decorations wish list! Each star hangs by an antique sari tie.
2. Sass & Belle Scandi Retro Christmas Tree Hanging Decoration, £4/each
These mini iron Christmas trees are bright and inviting, finished off with gold piping and a rustic jute tie for that extra festive touch.
3. Helen Smith Fused Glass Snowflake, £6
Made from upcycled glass, these frosty hanging snowflakes will add a delicate touch to your tree.
4. Gisela Graham Set Of 2 Resin Gingerbread Boy & Girl Decorations, £3.99

These tiny ceramic stars are just so pretty!

These LED baubles would look great draped around a large mirror or on a mantle place.
10. Natural Collection Hanging Wooden Reindeer, £3.95
These Fair Trade wooden reindeer are just too cute! Finished with a gingham bow and diamond print carvings.
11. John Lewis Enchantment Owl Tree Hanger, £3
Add a little glam to your tree with this sparkly, golden owl ornament,
12. Natural Collection Hand-painted Hanging Wooden Heart, £3.95/each

  3. Such a beautiful and festive post Emma! :-) I remember as a child we had glass ornaments, we had to be so careful with them but they were the prettiest on the tree. I think we still have some actually and now they seem to be considered a vintage style. I’m loving the shabby chic and vintage theme going on in this wish list! Our tree always seems to be a bit mix and match but it’s such a lovely tradition to decorate this time of year!! :-) xx

    1. Thanks, Helen! Yes, I'd love to buy some vintage glass ornaments and I love the mix and match look, as it's really homely and with older ornaments, each has its own little story. I've actually purchased a few new pieces for next year already and I've put a photo on Instagram of them. They were all in the sale already! xxx
