At this price, I was eager to try making my own clay face mask recipes. I haven't experimented with this as yet, but hopefully I can share some recipes soon.
Sweet Cecily's Banoffee Lip Balm, £3.25/10ml
This lip balm has been on my wish list for too long. I had to finally try it! It smells/tastes gorgeous and it's a really nice lip balm. These cute little tins are so pretty and would make a great stocking filler gift - I purchased the Gin & Tonic one for a friend!
Madara Brightening AHA Peel Mask (sample), £5.50/12.5ml
I've been lacking in the face mask department lately, and my skin definitely knows it! I thought I'd try and get my skin back on track with this peeling mask, which is meant to gently exfoliate while revealing bright, radiant, smoothed skin. I was pretty excited to see elderflower fruit extract in the ingredients!
Lavera Exotic Body Wash, £6.45/200ml
There is one area of natural beauty that I have barely touched upon, due to having an old stash to use up first, and that is shower/bath products. Well, as my shower stash is reducing nicely, I decided to purchase this body wash from Lavera. It was the scent that interested me most! It smells very tropical and mainly like coconuts.
Natural Deodorant Co. Vanilla Manuka Deodorant Balm (sample), £1.50/6ml
This was featured on my last wish list, and I thought I'd take the opportunity of trying a sample before purchasing the full size. The formula is so much smoother than my current balm deodorant - it melts onto your skin beautifully and doesn't feel very gritty at all. The scent is not as sweet as I was hoping for, but it's nice enough. I'm allowing at least a week of use before deciding on how it performs.
Lily Lolo Spoolie & Angled Brow Brush, £6.49
I bought this eyebrow brush to use with a new make-up purchase, which you will discover further down the list. I'm hoping this will aid me in my quest for perfectly groomed brows.
Along with the two Naturisimo orders which arrived this week, they included a free sample each of Weleda's calendula nappy rash cream; unexpected, but I thought I'd use it like I've used Sudocrem in the past - on sore, irritated and problem areas. Let's just say that I will be buying the full size of this!
I could not pass up the chance of 40% off at PHB Ethical Beauty, so I picked up some new make-up products:
PHB Rose Violet Natural Lipgloss, £14.50/10g
With autumn here, I thought I'd be a little daring and try a darker, berry lip shade. I chose the "rose violet" lipgloss, which is Fair Trade, vegan and certified organic! I've tried it and I'm really unsure about it, as it is so different for me. I'm not sure I suit this darker shade.
PHB Brunette Mineral Eyebrow Powder, £11.95/3g
I have never tried any eyebrow products for fear of failing to use them correctly. I thought I'd be brave and try some eyebrow powder. I have very dark eyebrows, yet my hair is lighter, so I opted for the medium shade, "brunette", in hopes of creating a softer look for my brows. I've quickly tried it and I'm not sure it's going to work for me.
I also received a couple of free samples with my order - the gentle moisturiser has a subtle sort of damp-woodland-walk scent (if that makes sense?!) and is light yet hydrating. I was pleased to find that my skin didn't look particularly oily as the day went on, so this could be a contender for my next daily moisturiser. I haven't tried the serum yet.
Greenfrog Botanic Neroli & Lime Botanical Bodywash, £8.80/300ml
I hadn't planned on buying this, but I've wanted to try this brand for ages, as I've read good things about it from a few different bloggers. The neroli and lime combination sounded great - it smells really fresh and zingy! It's made from a base of Himalayan soapberries and is enriched with soothing organic aloe vera.
