Creating The Perfect Festive Spirit!

I thought I'd put together a really festive winter feature to get us all in the Christmas spirit! To create that perfectly festive atmosphere during the winter and at Christmas time, you'll need some festive essentials!
Riverford Organic Farm Shop is the perfect place to start! Based in Devon, this online organic farm shop boasts a great selection of sweet treats, fresh produce boxes, drinks and all the Christmas trimmings, plus free delivery! I had the great pleasure of sampling some of the products from their Christmas range.

To get you in the mood for all things festive, you will need the following:
A big mug of hot chocolate. Why not opt for Montezuma's vegan-friendly Orange & Ginger Drinking Chocolate* (£6.99/300g)? This is no ordinary hot chocolate - forget about the powdered cocoa and pop a dark chocolate disc into a mug of hot milk (almond, soy, coconut - whatever you fancy!), stir vigorously and enjoy the warm aroma. It has a rich orange chocolate taste, with a hint of spices to give that warm, festive touch. You'll probably want a little something to accompany your hot chocolate, so make sure you've got some Riverford Organic Almond Cantuccini* (£4.99/150g) handy - these are vegetarian-friendly and also go well with a cup of your favourite coffee! The quality of the cantuccini really shines through - these are truly delicious!
A plate of warm mince pies. Don't slave over a hot oven for ages baking your own - get yourself a sneaky delivery of Riverford's Luxury Organic Mince Pies* (£4.99 per six) instead - no-one has to know! With a rustic, homemade appearance, these mince pies are stuffed full of Bramley apples, vine fruit, citrus peel and a cheeky dash of brandy! These are suitable for vegetarians and can be stored in a cool, dry place for up to 7 days, or you can freeze them until needed. I've never been that fond of mince pies, but these are just lovely! They're buttery, sweet and the filling is plentiful and moist. They're pretty moreish! I'd definitely recommend ordering a box of goodies from Riverford this Christmas - they literally sell a full-on Christmas dinner! Plus, everything is organic.
A festive, feel-good film. My favourite film to watch on Christmas Day is Arthur Christmas, but I also love watching the Bridget Jones films, Love Actually and The Holiday in the run-up to the big day.
A cosy blanket. It wouldn't be winter without a faux fur blanket to snuggle up in of an evening! You could also make use of that onesie hanging on the back of the bedroom door, or treat yourself to some new PJs for ultra comfort!
Bubbles and sparkles. I'm personally not a huge fan of champagne, but I think having a glass of bubbly as an option for your dinner guests on the big day makes it feel all that more special! Oh, and you can't forget sparkle - pretty Christmas decorations, twinkly lights, big shiny bows and sequin dresses should do it!

How do you create the perfect festive spirit?
