My June Purchases

First up was a little order on LookFantastic.com, with 10% off & free P&P:
The Konjac Sponge Co. Bamboo Charcoal Facial Puff Sponge, £6.99
As my first sponge had gone mouldy and was looking a little worse for wear, I decided to re-purchase one, but this time I went with the bamboo charcoal one, as it is aimed at problem skin, so I was hoping it would help clear up my blemishes. I think this is just as good as the French pink clay sponge, but I don't think it has made a difference to my blemishes, as yet.
JĀSÖN Super Shine Apricot Shampoo, £6.29/480ml & JĀSÖN Super Shine Apricot Conditioner, £6.29/480ml
This was actually quite an apprehensive purchase, due to the fact that the only other JĀSÖN products I had used previously - the Sea Kelp shampoo and conditioner - gave me a really bad skin reaction! But I didn't want one bad experience to banish this brand from my life forever, so I thought I'd give them another try. I opted for the apricot hair products this time, as they claim to make your hair super shiny, which sounded great! They smell so good!

We visited TK Maxx in-store and I also made a few online purchases:
Nine West Cognac Long Bi-Fold Purse, £12.99 (sold out)
I bought myself a lovely new purse! This faux leather number has loads of card slots and is a classic tan and cream colour.
EcoTools Bath & Shower Mitt, RRP £3.99 £2.99
I wanted to replace my mesh shower puffs with something more eco-friendly and natural, so I purchased this wash mitt to try out. It's really effective, plus it's also exfoliating, so I will be purchasing another one soon. These are made out of ramie and rayon from bamboo.
We also picked up these delicious bottles of Virgil's Cream Soda (4 pack), £5.49, and these 1.6L 100% recycled glass bottles, £3.99 each, with screw-top lid, which will be perfect for bottling water and home-made drinks.

I placed my first order on Naturisimo:
Naturisimo Travel Essentials Discovery Box, £9.95
I decided to go ahead and order the latest discovery box - it looks like many of my favourite bloggers also did this (although most were gifted to them). The box includes seven sample size products, which are all travel-friendly. I didn't buy this box for travelling purposes - I just wanted to try out some different brands and thought this was a very budget-friendly way of doing so! I will be aiming to review most of these items after I've trialled them.
I also picked up a sample of Pai's Geranium & Thistle Balancing Day Cream, £1/4ml, which Kate from Wild Organic Beauty has raved about!

I also made a few homeware purchases, which were mainly for the bedroom overhaul - before and after post coming soon. Oh, and we bought a new dishwasher!

What did you purchase in June?

  1. Loved how you got that little bit about your dishwasher in at the end there!! These things count don't they!! Great post Em, I love how you do your monthly purchases like this. Love those glass bottles!! They'd look lovely with a single flower in too :-)

    1. Haha, of course! Thank you! Really happy to find the glass bottles. :) xxx

  2. I love the glass bottles too. I quite often save little glass bottles from traditional lemonade or mini prosecco etc. they look so pretty with a single bloom in. You made me laugh about the dishwasher!! Look forward to seeing your bedroom makeover xxx

    1. Thanks, Liz! I just had to get that in there about the dishwasher - our old one was second hand from my parents and was over 15 years old! So happy with our sparkly new one, haha. :) xxx

  3. I'd love to know your thoughts on the Jason shampoo and conditioner. Some lovely purchases - the Pai moisturiser is gorgeous, but it's so expensive once you're addicted! I've recently tried Faith in Nature moisturisers, and I really like them! Have you tried them? xx

    1. I'll be sure to post a review once I've sampled them a bit more - they smell gorgeous, though! I haven't tried any of the FIN facial products, but I'd love to give them a try. xxx

I absolutely love reading your comments and really appreciate your input! x
