Updating Your Home On A Budget: The Bedroom

This is a series showing how you can update the rooms in your home without breaking the bank! It's amazing what a few new accessories can do! I think starting with a blank canvas and a neutral base is the way to go; this allows you to add and remove colours and textures in the form of accessories, with ease. Check out how to update your bathroom here.

I feel that bedrooms should be a haven of relaxation, romance and serenity. Calm, soft colour tones are best for the bedroom. Lots of textures are the key to that balance of comfort and luxury.
1. ASOS Triple Heart Small Photo Frame, £8
I love the shabby chic effect on this cute set of photo frames. A lovely way to display some great, captured memories!
2. Matalan Embroidered Bird Cushion, £10
This feature cushion has a gorgeous design and would look great on an armchair.
3. Matalan Fabric Heart Garland, £8
Add a little love with this floral heart garland, also with a shabby chic style.
4. BHS Mongolian Fur Cushion, £35
Add some luxurious touches with this faux fur cushion, perfect for layering with other cushions on the bed.
5. The Range Dress Mirror with Jewellery Storage, £69.99
A practical and stylish 2-in-1 product! Great for those of us with ever-expanding jewellery collections.
6. Primark Knitted Houndstooth Throw, £10
This would look great in a monochrome-themed room, adding some pattern and warmth.
7. Next Crackle Table Lamp, £32
This stylish lamp adds a luxe feel and creates the perfect ambiance.
8. Lily Flame Blush Scented Candle, £8.50
Lily Flame candles look gorgeous in any room, plus they also smell great and burn really well!
9. Heaven Sends Wall Plaque, £22
Aww, this rustic sign would make a lovely finishing touch to the bedroom; especially for newly-weds!

Have you bagged yourself any homeware bargains recently?

  1. Nice picks, I found a throw very like that one but in stone and white houndstooth and it's just gorgeous in our lounge.
And that lamp is a thing of beauty

    1. Thanks, Michelle! Ooh, your throw sounds lovely. :) We have a similar lamp to that one above, in our bedroom. xxx
