October At A Glance + A Few Of My Favourite Things | Personal

photo 1
October was a pretty exciting month for me as we embarked on our second cruise, this time with P&O, travelling to Portugal, Spain and Gibraltar. We had a great time and I shall be writing up my cruise diary posts soon.

October also included my 25th birthday, which I celebrated whilst docked in Malaga, Spain! Dean had arranged this surprise which arrived at our cabin that evening:

It was strange being in a different country on my birthday and not having much cards e.t.c. to open, but it was fun nonetheless!

With the money I received for my birthday, I've been purchasing new knitwear and other clothing, as well as some beauty buys, including a huge haul from Montagne Jeunesse! Can't wait to start trying out the face masks! Expect lots of reviews coming your way.

After the cruise, it was back to work for us, but I only had three nights to work which are now over (yay!) and I'm now looking forward to my week off! We did manage to squeeze in a cinema visit and went to see Maze Runner which was pretty good.
We don't tend to celebrate Halloween, although Dean did dress up for work and I'm sure we'll put on a horror movie or two tonight!
We weren't organised enough to get a pumpkin this year, but here is last year's masterpiece:

And to conclude the end of October, here are a few of my favourite things this month:

Relaxing. Being on holiday! It was nice to get away from it all and just soak up the sun and sights.

OGX Renewing Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner
I've been loving these hair products this month as they leave my hair silky soft and give it a healthy shine. Once Superdrug has them on special offer again, I'll be snapping up some more varieties to try out!

Food, and lots of it! While on the cruise, we ate lots of yummy food and didn't restrict ourselves too much. As the new month begins, so does the healthy eating and (hopefully) exercise regime!
The Walking Dead
We are so happy that the new season has begun! Really enjoying it so far and can't wait for Washington!

MUA Power Pout Lip Tint & Balm in Irreplaceable
This lip pen effortlessly adds a pop of pink to my make-up look, while keeping my lips hydrated and soft. I use it alone or with a sheer gloss on top.

What did you get up to this month? Any new favourites?

Outfit: Denim, Pleather & Faux Fur | Fashion

This outfit is from last weekend and features one of my latest purchases - a faux fur gilet! I really love the animal print design and it comes with a faux leather belt as well. I just wish it was collarless as it's a little bulky. I feel I don't have many tops to wear under this gilet so I shall be looking for some to purchase soon. I think teaming it with this denim shirt and faux leather trousers give it that smart-casual feel and the heels add that finishing touch.
