Chit-Chat: Getting Healthy & Another Cruise! | Personal

Hi guys! I hope everyone is having a great week! I thought I'd give you a little life update, seeing as the last one was in June.
So, firstly the "getting healthy" part has been ongoing for quite some time, but I kick-started this around 4-5 months ago. Basically, I wanted to improve my diet and eating habits. I used to eat chocolate all the time; I felt like I needed it. Now, I can go several weeks without eating a single chocolate bar! I am extremely lucky to have always been quite slim, despite having a terrible diet in the past. So, for me it's not about weight goals and dieting, but more about feeling healthy and toning up.
I am really proud of the changes I have made to my diet and lifestyle over the years, and I definitely feel better for it! I still have a few changes to make though, i.e. drinking more water and exercising regularly.
I try to keep processed foods, sweets, chocolate and fizzy drinks to a minimum, but I don't cut things out completely and I do allow myself occasional treats. Snacking is my problem area and working nights every other week makes this difficult to control.
I've been really enjoying Graze boxes over the past few months, and currently receive fortnightly boxes which arrive in time for my first night back to work. I like the variety and the concept of the boxes. My main goal at the moment is to start exercising more; perhaps trying yoga and going for more walks. I am planning on posting some healthy recipes and personal favourite healthy snacks e.t.c. on the blog soon.
Dean will be joining me on my upcoming week off which will be nice. I'm hoping we will get a few walks done that week and possibly a couple of day trips.
Now on to the most exciting part... We've booked another cruise! We will be sailing with P&O on their ship, Azura, for 10 nights in October. We will be travelling to Gibraltar, Spain and Portugal and will visit five different ports. This will be our second cruise (our first being in May last year with Royal Caribbean) and we cannot wait! Now, I am classing this as our honeymoon, although rather non-traditionally we will be joined by the in-laws!
I'm really happy that we will be on the cruise for my birthday; I will be celebrating my 25th while in Malaga, Spain! I will be posting a cruise diary on our return and will hopefully have some scheduled posts in line while we are away. 10 weeks tomorrow!

What have you been up to lately?

I'm finding it hard to "stay on the wagon" as it were at the moment, but this post has just given me a prod in the right direction! That ship looks absolutely amazing ^.^
