The Wedding Diaries: Part Five | Personal

I've been a married woman for exactly four weeks today! It's a pretty good feeling, I must say. And although things don't feel all that different, it does make you think about the future and I find myself appreciating my husband (ooh!) that little bit more.
The wedding day itself was wonderful. We were surrounded by our closest family and friends and had a lovely, warm and sunny (in Scotland, yes!) day.
The hotel paid very good attention to detail and made the rooms look lovely. I felt a million dollars in my beautiful wedding gown (now for sale, if you're interested!) and with my hair done. Dean looked rather handsome too!
We were overwhelmed with our guests' generosity and have put all of our wedding gift money into our savings account and plan to put some of it towards our second cruise, that we hope to have booked soon for later on in the year!

I'd like to share with you some of my favourite photographs from the day:

And here is a list of some of the main suppliers/services we used for our wedding:

Bliss Bridal Studio, Edinburgh - I received a first class service from proprietor, June, when selecting my wedding dress. She was very helpful and down-to-earth.
Recommend? Yes!
Formally Yours, online - The ordering process was fairly easy once you had taken all of the require measurements and the service was very good. The hired suits themselves were great quality, good value for money and overall a good fit.
Recommend? Yes!
The Ban-Car Hotel, Aberdeenshire - Tina, the proprietor, and all the rest of the staff are really friendly and helpful. We received brilliant service from them throughout the whole process. Sometimes communication wasn't the best, but to be fair there were 600 miles between us and I imagine most couples usually meet with the venue a few times!
Recommend? Yes!
More Sweets, online - We used this website to order the sweets for our sweet table. The promotions advertised on the website were not discounted at the checkout, the box of sweets arrived damaged plus two bags of sweets were also damaged/open. Communication to this company is via email only. This company owes me a refund for at least two bags of sweets. I have sent numerous emails but with no response.
Recommend? No!
Tesco Clothing Click + Collect, online - We used Tesco online to order bridesmaid dresses but they "lost" our order and so we didn't get them! We literally bought the final bridesmaid dresses (from Quiz!) two days before the wedding!
Recommend? No!
Flowers by Louise, Aberdeenshire - Louise did a wonderful job with the bouquets and her prices were very reasonable!
Recommend? Yes!
Robert Kerr Photography, Aberdeen - Robert was brilliant. He listened to what we wanted and made good suggestions. He took a more natural approach to the photographing rather than getting us to do all the usual wedding poses which was good. Compared to all of our other quotes, Robert's prices were pretty reasonable.
Recommend? Yes!
OptimalPrint, online - We used this service to order photo thank you cards. We luckily found a 50% off voucher and were very pleased with the finished product!
Recommend? Yes!
Snapfish, online - We used Snapfish to order our photo prints and one canvas. The prints were good as usual (I have used them previously) and we are very happy with the quality of the canvas!
Recommend? Yes!

Please let me know if you would like any more info. about suppliers/services we used.
