Amie All Clear Instant Action Spot Clearing Gel | Review

Apologies for not posting yesterday but I've had a stressful couple of days! I had to pay out nearly £200 as my car broke down after work on Wednesday morning! Hopefully I can have a few relaxing days now that I'm finished work for the week.

Amie All Clear Instant Action Spot Clearing Gel, £4.95/15ml @ CutECOsmetics

I purchased this product in January but have only got round to using it properly just recently. As I've been using it regularly over the past couple of weeks, I thought it was about time I reviewed it.

Amie is an affordable, cruelty-free and BUAV-approved skincare brand, producing gentle yet effective formulas, using natural fruit and botanical ingredients. Particularly recommended for sensitive, oily and blemish-prone skin. The majority of their range is suitable for Vegans.

The All Clear Instant Action Spot Clearing Gel contains 96.5% natural ingredients and claims to reduce spots and blemishes fast and soothe irritated skin. This product is suitable for Vegans and is free from Parabens, Sulphates, mineral oils and animal extracts.

Salicylic Acid is a natural ingredient derived from the bark of the Willow tree and acts as a natural exfoliant by encouraging the peeling of the top layer of skin and opening plugged follicles. It also contains anti-inflammatory properties which help reduce swelling and redness.
Peppermint Oil also helps reduce redness by cooling the skin. Peppermint oil is a natural cleanser and inhibits the bacterial growth that can lead to inflammation of hair follicles which allows for spots to form.
Eucalyptus Oil contains strong anti-septic properties and helps heal and dry spots and blemishes. It also targets blemish-causing bacteria on the skin to help prevent further breakouts.

Suitable for sensitive skin, it is recommended that you apply a thin layer to the blemish or entire affected area morning and night for best results. Avoid the delicate eye area.
The formula is a clear gel and the lovely, refreshing scent is predominantly peppermint, but you can also smell a hint of the eucalyptus too. On application, the gel gives a cooling, tingling sensation which gives the assuring impression that it's getting to work right away! Once the gel has dried a little, the skin feels a little taut but not too uncomfortable. This gel has had no ill effects on my sensitive skin. I've been applying it morning and night to any blemishes or affected areas and the redness and swelling of the blemishes has visibly reduced within around six hours. The gel gently dries out spots and heals them pretty quickly. In my experience, most blemishes and spots have completely cleared up within 3-5 days and if you apply it to a blemish which is just beginning to form - those painful red bumps under the skin, you can be sure that you won't be seeing it again!

I'm really impressed with this product and I would definitely re-purchase this. I think this range is very purse-friendly and best of all, it's also cruelty-free!
I'd love to try out other products from this range, especially the Bright Eyes Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover and the Spring Clean Cooling Clay Mask.
