February Empties | Beauty

This empties post is my very first and I hope to post one each month from now on. For each product I will state whether I'd be likely to repurchase it in the future or not. It's been so difficult trying to finish up products before delving into all the lovely beauty products I received for Christmas! I think I've done pretty well though.

Here's what I finished up in February:
Baylis & Harding Beauticology Vanilla Frosting Body Lotion (travel size/part of a gift set), £?
I think the Beauticology products are only available as part of gift sets and are possibly limited edition. This vanilla body lotion was part of a gift set at Christmas and appears unavailable to purchase now.
This body lotion truly smells like vanilla frosting and is very sweet. This is a basic moisturiser which leaves your skin smooth and smelling super-sweet for hours! These kind of products are more of a novelty-type product and I'm now trying to purchase more natural, chemical-free products.

Avon Advance Techniques Strengthen & Protect Shampoo & Avon Advance Techniques Strengthen & Protect Conditioner, £2.80/each
These were my second bottles of these products. These hair products have an amazing peppermint creme scent which lingers on your hair. These gently cleanse and leave your hair shiny and soft. I reviewed these products last year. I'd recommend these to anyone that doesn't suffer from sensitive skin.
Unfortunately, I've come to the realisation that these products have most probably been the cause of a few ingrown hairs and spots on my scalp. It's really disappointing as I did love these products.
Repurchase? No.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Facial Wash, £5/250ml
This has a subtle tea tree scent and is a thin, gel formula. This gently cleanses my skin without drying it out. If I don't wash it off quite quickly, it can cause some redness to occur. Unfortunately for me, this doesn't help prevent blemishes or breakouts and it doesn't appear to control excess oil as I still end up with an oily forehead. I think the tea tree range could be a little too harsh for my sensitive skin.
Repurchase? No.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Facial Toner, £5/250ml
This toner has a subtle tea tree scent and contains mattifying powders. You need to shake the bottle vigorously to activate the powders at the bottom of the bottle; I don't think these can be combined very well until you've used about a third of the bottle. This effectively cleans my face but it's not very gentle on my skin as it does create a tingling sensation with some heat behind it. Again, this doesn't seem to help prevent blemishes or excess oil occurring on my forehead.
Repurchase? No.
The Body Shop Hemp Moisturising Hand Wash, £5/250ml
This hand wash is a creamy, soap-free formula that is kind to sensitive skin and keeps your hands soft and moisturised. Again, the scent isn't for everyone. I'd recommend this to people who have very dry hands and/or sensitive skin.
Repurchase? No.
The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector, £10/100ml
This is a deeply moisturising hand treatment which is great for overnight use. Perfect for sensitive skin. This has done a great job in keeping my hands lovely and soft. The scent isn't for everyone and although I didn't mind it to start with, I'm not very keen on it now. It's quite a heavy, greasy formula which sits on the skin for quite some time so I only use this overnight.
Repurchase? No.
Treacle Moon The Pomegranate Secret Shower Wash/Scrub, £2.99/175ml @ Tesco
This has a lovely, fresh and fruity scent. This is a shower gel with unrefined particles in it to exfoliate your skin while gently cleansing. This leaves your skin smelling fresh and feeling smooth. The particles are quite large compared to other scrubs but it isn't harsh on the skin. I love Treacle Moon products as they look and smell so good and they are animal-friendly! I'd love to see them re-formulate their products without the use of SLS and other unnecessary chemicals.
Repurchase? Yes.
Soap & Glory Hand Food, £5/125ml @ Boots
I literally squeezed every last drop out of this tube! This is one of my favourite hand creams as it smells divine and doesn't irritate my sensitive hands. It is a light, non-greasy formula and sinks straight into your skin, keeping your hands soft and moisturised for hours. Thankfully I also have a mini tube in my handbag which is still pretty full! If you haven't yet tried this, you need to do so now!
Repurchase? Yes.

I hope you enjoyed my first empties post!
Have you tried any of these products?

P.S. My sister gave birth to her third beautiful daughter yesterday and here is a picture of the big sisters (Lucy & Sophia) meeting the new arrival:
