#BNCproject: My Top 5 Cruelty-Free Products | Beauty

Following on from my first BNC post which featured my FOTD, here is the latest feature: my top five cruelty-free products. I'd love for you to take part in this wonderful project and to find out your top five cruelty-free products!
Treacle Moon Ice Cream Soda Bath & Shower Gel, £2.99/500ml
I finally managed to get my hands on this! It is just divine. The scent is so sweet you almost want to eat it! It really does smell like ice-cream soda. The scent lingers on your skin for a while after use too. I've only used this as a shower gel so far as I find them not as impressive in the bath.
LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub, £5.50/25g
This little pot of pink goodness smells just like candyfloss! It helps get rid of dry skin on your lips and is particularly good for prepping them before applying lipstick. This pot will last you ages! I'd love to try the Popcorn one too.
The Body Shop Chocomania Body Scrub, £12.50/200ml
This is quite messy to use but it smells just like chocolate brownies so it's worth getting splashes of it all over the bathtub! It does a great job of gently removing dead skin cells and it leaves you with a sheeny layer on your skin which is soft to touch and smells divine for some time after use. I'd love to get the Chocomania body butter to use alongside this scrub.
Dr. Bronner's Organic Lip Balm in Peppermint, £3/4g
This is truly my favourite lip balm. The peppermint scent is lovely and refreshing and it is so soothing on your lips. Hours after applying this, it can feel like I've only just used it because it doesn't need constant re-applying throughout the day. I would really recommend this product and it's available in different scents. I wouldn't recommend the Naked unscented version because I found it not very pleasant in scent or taste and it didn't seem as beneficial as the Peppermint version.
e.l.f. Flawless Eyeshadow in Happy Hour, £2.50/6g
This is a very new addition to my make-up bag, but I'm already in love with it! The colour pigmentation is great and I just love the instructive palette design. This particular colourway is perfect for Spring.

  1. I have quite a few bodyshop products, I'll hunt through all my others to check I really need to clue myself up on products that are tested on animals I want to out them! I'd love to be involved in this :) x

Yes, The Body Shop is a cruelty-free brand but the company is now owned by L'Oreal who do conduct animal testing. Despite this, PETA suggests that by continuing to buy from cruelty-free brands owned by non cruelty-free companies, this should send a positive message that cruelty-free products are good for business and hopefully, in time, the larger companies will also stop testing.
It would be great to have you on board, Lulu! Just send an email to Lizzie at Head Full Of Flowers (links above) and then you can check out her Blogroll and choose from any topics you'd like to post about. Looking forward to seeing your BNC posts. :) xxx
