Weddings On A Budget: Favours | Lifestyle

As Dean and I are trying to keep the cost of our wedding to a minimum (under £3,000), I thought I would start this Weddings On A Budget series for anyone else planning a wedding, to give you some tips and ideas on how to keep costs to a minimum.

Today we are looking at wedding favours; small gifts given to wedding guests as a gesture of appreciation for them being part of your special day. The favours often tie in with the wedding colour/theme or the season which it is held in.

For our wedding, we have chosen to give each guest (attending the whole day) two chocolate hearts in silver foil, placed inside a purple organza bag featuring a silver butterfly design. We purchased all the supplies on eBay and the cost is approximately 35p per favour/guest. Bargain!

I've picked out some other great value favours for you to look at:
1. Personalised Wedding Tea Bag Favours, £1.35-£1.75 each @ A Wedding Less Ordinary
These tea bag favours are a great alternative to the popular chocolate favours. There are lots of designs to choose from and you can personalise the text.
2. Silver Heart Chocolate Napolitans, £24.95 per 100 @ A Wedding Less Ordinary
A simple yet effective choice; milk chocolate squares wrapped in silver foil with a white band and silver heart.
3. Lucy Four Leaf Clover Bookmark, £1.65 each @ A Wedding Less Ordinary
