Trends for SS14: Chartreuse | Fashion

Hi guys! Aren't you just so fed up with this damn rain?! I am. I'm also suffering from an extremely sore throat which began nearly a week ago - I hope it clears up soon as it's not really helping me in the sleep department! Hopefully this bright-coloured post will help cheer us up on this cold, wet and windy day!

So, we've covered pastels, now we're going to take a look at the Chartreuse colour trend. Think lemon and lime mixed together! This is a really popular shade and is particularly great when worn via accessories. Great with navy, black, grey and white, this shade is more versatile than you may think. Here are my top picks:
1. Skater Dress in Bonded Fabric, £50 £24 @ ASOS
Bring volume and a flash of neon to your Summer wardrobe with this flattering skater dress.
2. Striped Basketweave Top, £370 by Etro @ Net-a-Porter
Perfect for dressing up or down, this striped, loose-fitting top will look great with white cigarette trousers.
3. Marseille Burst Stone Long Pendant, £19 @ Accessorize
I love this bejewelled necklace! A perfect Spring/Summer accessory.
4. Lime Retro Sunglasses, £10 @ River Island
Keep the sun out of your eyes in retro style with these fun sunglasses!
5. Gwenda Suede Courts, £58 @ Topshop
Perfect for adding a pop of on-trend colour to your evening look.
6. Metal Corner Shopper, £40 @ Oasis
This shopper bag is the perfect everyday accessory for the next season; colourful and big enough for all of your daily essentials.
7. Chartreuse Pea Coat, £40 £32 @ BHS
Start channeling the trend now with this cosy pea coat!
8. Classic Polly Plains Cap-Sleeved T-Shirt, £27 @ French Connection
Team this top with statement accessories for a great evening look.

I have some exciting beauty haul posts coming up and I'm hoping to post the second installment of my wedding diary soon!

Hi Lizzie, thank you! I'm the same really, I like to add colour with accessories. Statement necklaces are a great way of doing it and I've seen some really lovely bags in yellow shades. xxx

I absolutely love reading your comments and really appreciate your input! x
