A Few Of My Favourite Things... | 100th Post!

Hi guys! This is my 100th blog post! I'd like to take this opportunity to say hello and welcome to my newest followers and a huge thank you to all of my faithful readers for following my blog! I want you all to know that I really value all your comments and input and love reading them!

I thought for my 100th post I'd share a few of my current favourite things with you:

Eve Taylor Candle, Ylang Ylang, £13
This was gift from one of my sisters last year or the year before and I love it! When she'd given me a facial using Eve Taylor products, I'd commented on how much I liked the scents of the products and so she gave me this and another candle for my birthday or Christmas! I like to light this when I'm having a relaxing bath. It smells lovely and is really calming.

Rekorderlig Premium Peach & Apricot Cider, £2.25 @ Tesco
Rekorderlig is my ultimate favourite brand of cider. I love the Strawberry & Lime version, but recently tried this flavour and absolutely love it! I'm not a big drinker but when I fancy a drink I always go for Rekorderlig!

Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker, 100ml, £19.95 @ Fragrance Direct
This is my current favourite fragrance. A very feminine, musky floral scent with top notes of Apple Martini and base notes of White Amber.

Air Wick Smooth Satin & Moon Lily, £3.80 £3 @ Sainsburys
I have this air freshener in two plug-ins and my Freshmatic unit! I just love it! It's quite a strong scent but it smells divine! It seems suited to Autumn/Winter.

Quaker Oats Oat So Simple Golden Syrup Porridge, £2.99 £1.49 (x15 sachets) @ Tesco
This is my favourite breakfast in the colder months. Syrup flavoured porridge! It's so easy and quick to prepare, tastes lovely and it's nice to warm you up in the morning.

Barry M Lip Gloss in Toffee, £4.25 @ ASOS
I got this recently and I really love it. It has a subtle shimmer and a sheer, glossy finish and it's not sticky. But best of all, it tastes of toffee! Delish! It doesn't last very long before you need to re-apply but perhaps that's because it tastes so good...?

Dexter was awesome! I started marathon watching it only a few months back and loved every second of it! Such a creative and interesting show! I'm so sad it's finished now but the finale was great and I hear they may be bringing out a film...?!

Well, I hope you enjoyed my slightly random 100th post! I'd like to do more of these favourites posts as it's fun and it lets you guys get to know me and what I like a bit better!

Treacle Moon The Candy Jar Marsh Mallow Hearts Bath & Shower Gel | Review

"Deep in the night when all dreams come true there is a candy store laden with gloriously coloured jars, each filled with memories so beautiful you want them to stay forever..."
I was so excited to see the new range by Treacle Moon (available at selected Tesco stores)...
The Candy Jar range!
I picked up the Marsh Mallow Hearts Bath & Shower Gel for £2.99:

I initially tested it as a bath product:
(Like my added sparkle?!)

As a bath product, it has a moderate bubble production (bubbles are very important to me!) and the scent is quite subtle.
But, as a shower gel, this is amazing! The scent is much stronger and it truly does smell lush, although smells a tiny bit synthetic, and the lather is great.
I've always loved Treacle Moon's products as they are really inventive with their products and the packaging is always fun to read!

Here is the full Candy Jar range:

I need the Ice Cream Soda one! Hope I can find it in a Tesco store soon!

Have you tried any of these lovely products?

Winter Warmers | Fashion

I know we're not exactly in the midst of Winter yet, but as it is getting colder throughout the UK, I thought I'd put together a little collection of Winter essentials - hats, gloves, scarves, socks & dressing gowns!
My favourite Winter essential is my dressing gown (actually, I have two!) because I live in them when the cold comes in! I like to stay indoors and snuggle up with my dressing gown on - I'll even wear it over my clothes if I get chilly! I also have a gorgeous pair of leopard print suedette mittens with faux fur lining that I purchased from Dorothy Perkins last year which I love!
What's your favourite Winter warmer?

1. Duo-Toned Infinity Scarf, £10.65 @ Forever 21:
I love the colours in this knitted scarf! This would look great with a black biker jacket in Autumn and a black or grey coat in Winter.
2. Knot Detail Thermal Smartouch Gloves, £12 by Totes @ Tesco:
Thanks to modern technology & the use of conductive thread, these thermal gloves are suitable for use with touchscreen devices such as iPhones & MP3 players. These red gloves look very smart & it's such a bonus that you won't have to get your hands out of your warm gloves to reply to a text or change the track you're listening to!
3. Pink Mohair Fleck Bobble Hat, £7.99 @ New Look:
If you wear hats in Winter, I'd say bobbles are a must have feature! This hat also has gorgeous pinky colour tones!
4. Check Heart Stud Ankle Socks, £3 @ River Island:
Get your feet on-trend with these bright red checked socks with heart detail.
5. Suede Mittens, £61.95 by Maison Scotch @ ASOS:
If you want to give your hands the VIP treatment, why not splurge on these soft suede mittens that look ever so cosy!

6. Real Leather Gloves, £10 @ Matalan:
If you're looking for a classic pair of black leather gloves, look no further than these. At just £10 for the real thing, you'd be silly not to snap these up!
7. Thinsulate Tribal Geo Chunky Beanie, £19 @ Accessorize:
This Aztec-inspired bobble hat will keep your head cosy & stylish!
8. Navy Koala Socks, £2.50 £2 @ Dorothy Perkins:
I love cute novelty socks like this pair, featuring two little koalas.

9. Cream Bubble Knit Bobble Hat, £14 @ Miss Selfridge:
If you're going for a neutral palette or simply want to blend in with the snow, check out this bubble knit acrylic hat.
10. Single Pom Pom Scarf, £16 @ Warehouse:
This pom pom scarf is just too cute & looks super cosy.
11. Stripe Knitted Smart Touch Gloves, £15 by Isotoner @ Debenhams:
Like the red Totes gloves, these more casual gloves also feature conductive thread technology so you are able to interact with your touchscreen devices without getting your hands cold!

12. Super Soft Dressing Gown, £14 by George @ Asda:
In a very popular purple shade, this super soft hooded dressing gown is sure to keep you all snugly & warm.
13. Novelty Bear Robe, £25 @ Next:
Keep things fun with this hooded bear robe!
14. Supersoft Shawl Collar Heart Print Dressing Gown, £25 @ M&S:
In a popular print this season, keep cosy & relax in this supersoft gown.

TK Maxx | Mini Haul

Hi guys! So, Dean and I visited TK Maxx yesterday and bought a few bits and pieces. There were a couple of things I didn't photograph, like a peeler - did you really want to see that?! But here are a few of the things we purchased:

A random little hedgehog, £1.99 - a decorative piece for the home, named "Chip" by Dean, haha.

Everyday Luxe Roasted Marshmallow Candle, £5.99 - the scent is just divine! A perfect candle for this season! I can see this being lit most nights from now on! Hope it lasts ages.

Hyde Park Faux Fur Throw, £14.99 - I saw this the previous day and there was only one available so I was so happy to see it was still there yesterday! I instantly snapped it up. It feels so luxurious and soft! Lovely brown tones which will go nicely with my purple bedding. Can't wait for the colder nights to use this throw!

So, that was my mini haul from TK Maxx! Have you purchased anything from there recently?

Today's Outfit | Fashion

Hi guys! I'll apologise in advance for the bad quality in some of the photos, but I was in a bit of a rush as I was just heading out to meet my friend to go check out a brand new TK Maxx store which just opened up near us today. I didn't make any purchases because my mind had gone blank when I tried to remember my pin number for my card - doh! I am heading back tomorrow with the other half though, so I'm hoping to get a few things then. I was most impressed by the range of toiletries/cosmetics and the homeware. And of course the gorgeous bags... but I'm waiting till my birthday next month to receive my new NEXT bag! I try to only have one or two handbags at a time, then when I get bored of them I sell them on eBay and buy a new one!
Anyway, on with today's outfit:

Dress, Jasmine London @ Dorothy Perkins | Cardigan, H&M | Leggings, George @ Asda | Boots, South via eBay | Bag, Primark

This tartan dress has got to be my favourite piece of clothing that I own. Firstly, it's tartan - perfect for a Scottish girl like me! Not to mention that it's on-trend! Secondly, it's super comfy! Thirdly, it's sleeveless so it's great in any season. As you can see here, I've teamed it with a basic, short-sleeve waterfall cardigan and leggings.
Now, these boots are the only knee-high boots I own and I am getting so bored of them. They are such a terrible fit for my slim legs! I just don't like the idea of spending a lot of money on one pair of boots, but I think I will invest in a good pair soon!

What have you been up to today?
Remember to check out this post to enter MRP's amazing competition!

Review: Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Prickly Pear By Barry M | Beauty

I bought this back in Summer (seems like a long time ago now, right?) for £3.99 from ASOS but never got round to trying it out as it required a base coat which I didn't have! So, I purchased Sally Hansen's Maximum Growth Plus Base + Top Coat off eBay for £3.49 inc. P&P:

Then I tried out the Barry M nail paint! I had high hopes for this product - there had been lots of great reviews about it, but it wasn't a great result for me.
Firstly, this is a very thick nail paint and I found it very uneven when applying.  Also, it smudges really easily so it's not very practical. I applied two coats.

I will say however, that the hi-shine is definitely there (although the images don't show this very well) and Prickly Pear is a nice shade, but probably too light for me. I'm not great at applying nail polish, so perhaps this one wasn't the best to try out solo!
I also bought this is Grey, so when I've tried that out I'll let you know if it's any better or worse than this shade. Also, I'm really no expert when it comes to nails and when I was looking for a base coat I was all about the price being low, so perhaps a better base coat could have improved the results?

Let me know if you have any tips and if you have tried this nail polish out, what did you think of it?
