Places To Visit In South-West England, Part One: Lulworth Cove, Dorset | Lifestyle

(Click here to check out the first post in the Scotland series.)

Today I am going to tell you about a beautiful place in West Lulworth, Dorset; Lulworth Cove.
Lulworth is such a beautiful place and is right on the Jurassic Coast. We've visited twice and loved it!
Here are some photos of our trip in April 2011 when we went with Dean's family:

As you can see, it is a very scenic place. It has a large car park which costs between £2-£7.50 depending on how long you stay.
The Cove boasts a variety of gift shops and places to eat; including a few ice-cream kiosks and there is also a Heritage Centre. Boat trips are available in the Summer. Some nearby beaches are only open on weekends as they lie under land used by the military!
You can walk (lots of steps then a footpath) from Lulworth Cove to Durdle Door which is a world-famous geological wonder; a huge rock arch set on the coast between Swanage and Weymouth.

You can also visit the nearby castle which is brilliant.

Here are some photos from our trip in September 2011 when we visited with my parents (unfortunately the day turned very windy and it rained so much we got soaked to the skin!):

We are very lucky! Lulworth really is beautiful. There are so many places in the UK that I'd like to visit, including Northern Ireland and the Lake District. xxx
