LUSH Cosmetic Warrior Fresh Face Mask | Review

Cosmetic Warrior Fresh Face Mask, £5.95/75g
This fresh face mask is targeted at spot-prone skin and features ingredients such as garlic, white grapes, free range eggs, tea tree oil and honey.
The garlic and tea tree oil have anti-septic qualities. The grapes are meant to cool and clean the skin. Honey is anti-microbal and should soften and moisturise the skin. The fresh eggs tighten the skin's texture.
The formula is designed in such a way so as not to drag or pull sore, sensitive skin.
Thankfully, the tea tree outweighs the smell of the garlic but overall the product doesn't smell brilliant, but this is because it is left to the natural ingredients to do their work!
I bought this about 7 weeks back because my skin had suddenly broken out in spots, so I wanted to try this fresh face mask to try and clear it up.When you put your fingers on the surface of the product, you can feel the elasticity of it and it has that "bounce-back" quality which is nice. The texture is quite thick and there are chunky bits of garlic in it. I found it was quite difficult to apply an even layer over my face. It is suggested to leave on for 10 minutes, then wash off. I did this the first time, and didn't notice any immediate difference. For all the other applications, I went for 20-30 minutes before washing it off.
On the second application, I took some photos for the purpose of this review.

Overall, I feel that with a few uses of this fresh face mask, it helped reduce redness and made my skin feel softer. Unfortunately, it wasn't the spot-busting product I was looking for as it didn't clear them up quickly or prevent more from appearing. It's a real shame because I sacrificed trying this one over the lovely-sounding Cupcake Chocolate & Mint Fresh Face Mask as I thought the Cosmetic Warrior mask sounded more natural and would have the best result. I think I would have at least gotten the same result from the Cupcake mask, so I wish I'd gone for that one instead!
I can't remember exactly, but I think this product has a shelf life of around 3-4 weeks and it must be stored in the fridge. I still had some product left when the use by date arrived, so for me the value for money aspect wasn't great.

Please do let me know if you have used this product before and what your thoughts on it were.
